Sony will host its latest PlayStation Showcase event today, May 24, and it’s expected to be a very big event rather than one of its shorter indie-focused streams. This State of Play-style event, given its proximity to the Not-E3 season, means it will most likely contain big announcements and game reveals. This one will focus on what’s next across the PS5 and PSVR 2. The Simpsons writer John Swartzwelder, known for his reclusive nature, has given what is believed to be his first interview about the show following his time on it, and it contains some notable takeaways. He wrote for The Simpsons from its start in 1989 to 2003, and in the new interview with The New Yorker, Swartzwelder touched on what he believes is the best season and why writing Homer as if he was a dog was the best approach.

Swartzwelder wouldn’t be drawn into commenting on what he believes to be the “golden age” of The Simpsons–he said TV historians can debate that–but he commented that Season 3 was the best in his mind.

In the United States and the BetMGM retail and online sportsbetting concern of MGM Resorts International and Entain has announced the inking of a deal to extend and expand its existing relationship with SportsGrid Incorporated.

The Jersey City-headquartered enterprise used an official Monday press release to detail that it currently offers punters in 20 American states including Illinois, New York and Michigan the ability to place wagers on a wide range of sporting events via its mobile-friendly domain at BetMGM.com. The operation explained that it is also responsible for retail sportsbooks within 13 casinos run by parent MGM Resorts International such as the Bellagio Las Vegas, MGM Grand Detroit and Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa properties.

Maltese iGaming solutions firm Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) Incorporated has announced the signing of a deal that is to see online casino operator Kings Media Limited enter the burgeoning Canadian market via the use of its own award-winning platform.

The St Julian’s-headquartered pioneer used an official Friday press release to declare that the new three-year alliance will allow its latest ‘strategic partner’ to launch the Malta-licensed online casino at KingBilly.com into the regulated iGaming market of Ontario. The company also explained that the move comes about a month after its iGaming platform was awarded a supplier license by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario regulator covering the innovation’s sportsbook and player account management capabilities.

As a routine precaution, I for one welcome whatever form our new AI creations take. But Meta maestro Mark Zuckerberg reckons his competition in the AI industry are actually suffering from what you might call a God delusion.

It turns out that the scariest thing I encountered this Halloween was the fear of missing out on Stardew Valley Creator, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone’s folder of Krobus-themed Jack o’ lanterns. If I had known this was a thing, then I would’ve been first in line with my own janky creation (which probably wouldn’t have made the list, if I’m honest).

Yesterday, on Halloween, Barone announced to his followers that “I will add every Stardew pumpkin to my folder.” This post was also accompanied by a folder full of Krobus pumpkins, 46 to be exact.
