Jonathan Blow says the Braid remaster ‘sold like dog—-‘-

Watch On

Braid: Anniversary Edition “sold like dogshit,” according to creator Jonathan Blow.

Compiled in a video by YouTube channel Blow Fan, which I can report with some unease is exactly as Blow-devoted as the name suggests, Blow has been commenting on the sales performance of the indie darling platformer’s remaster in Twitch streams since its release back in May. The clips that Blow Fan selected chart Blow’s decline from initial optimism to grim resignation as sales failed to materialize.

On May 20, almost a week after the remaster’s release, Blow was hopeful. Games, he said, tend to follow a predictable sales pattern: a large spike at launch, followed by a sharp drop to a gradually-decreasing sales baseline. From there, “it decays very slowly,” Blow said, “and while it d…

Like A Dragon- Infinite Wealth debuts Daniel Dae Kim’s voice work and Danny Trejo’s unforgettable face-

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is looking to start  2024 with a bang in January, and not only because the developers say it’s so freaking long. As Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio had already announced, it’s also packing in performances by Daniel Dae Kim (Lost, Hawaii Five-0) and Danny Trejo (Machete, Desperado) for the English version’s voice over. During today’s PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, RGG brought out a new English language trailer with a first look at Kim and Trejo’s roles.

Kim is stepping into the suit of new character Ebina Masataka, who seems to have filled the power vacuum left in Yokohama’s criminal Seiryu Clan faction after the events of Yakuza: Like A Dragon. That will pit him against longtimeseries protagonist Kiryu Kazuma. Trejo is, fittingly, picking up a …

Avatar- The Last Airbender is getting a ‘competitive multiplayer fighting game’ in 2025-

Avatar: The Last Airbender should be a prime cut of gaming beef. Elements-based martial arts, a wide open world with plenty of established lore, a gorgeous art style, and enough nostalgia to build a franchise on.

Yet despite being such a solid piece of kids’ T.V it transcends its demographic, being a good watch for all ages, Avatar’s never really had a great game attached to it. Sure, there’ve been licensed attempts, but they’re usually middling at best. There’s never been an Avatar game with staying power equal to its roots.

Whether that’ll change with a competitive fighting game is still to be seen, but we sure are getting one. As spotted by Gematsu, Maximum Entertainment’s recent showcase revealed the project at the tail-end of its roadmap.

“We are thrilled to annou…

The Among Us crewmates are coming to Vampire Survivors as its developer booms ‘no realm or plane of reality is off limits’-

Poncle have announced a new DLC for our best roguelike of 2022: Vampire Survivors, in collaboration with Innersloth’s Among Us. This new DLC called Emergency Meeting is set to arrive on PC on December 18, 2023.

The announcement came as part of the Day of the Devs livestream on the Game Awards YouTube channel, with an impressive animated trailer which also highlighted a bit of crewmate gameplay at the end. Emergency Meeting will bring new “Crewmates, weapons, power-ups, and a stage inspired by the Imposter-hunting hit, Among us” according to Poncle’s Emergency Meeting FAQ.

Vampire Survivors received a mighty score of 87 in our review, so the prospect of 9 new characters, 15 new weapons, 1 new stage, a fresh adventure, and 20 in-game u…

Starfield’s next update will improve the photo mode so you can finally smile pretty for your pictures-

A new Starfield update is headed for Steam beta next week, with a focus on quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes: The scanner is getting an upgrade, mission tracking is being improved, and you’ll finally be able to smile in your photos.

Detailed patch notes won’t be revealed until next week, but Bethesda hit the highlights in a series of tweets. The update will change the scanner so you can continue to use it while you’re harvesting resources or opening doors, and setting a course on an inactive mission in the mission tracker will automatically make it active.

Practical improvements are great, but my favorite of the bunch is an entirely cosmetic change: Expressions are coming to photo mode.

“Now you can make your character and your companions match the mood of you…
